You. Yeah, you. What are you like the only member of the Actual gang who can read? You got a lot of illiterate bozo's over there? Well, whatever, if they wanna read this, let them. I'm figuring, Chloe, that you're not dumb and you checked the name at the bottom before stopping to read this. I'm also hoping people are smart enough to keep their noses out of my business. Anyway. It's uh, it's been awhile since the rabbits... Alpha

alpha,I doubt any of them can read; somehow, we ended up with a bunch of idiots being the only survivors of the apocalypse. It's rather depressing. I checked, yes - I hope you get this reply, since I left it where you left the original rather than traipsing through the sewers trying to find where we met, since as yet, that's the only place I've seen you. Yes, it's been a while. Still catching domestic animals for fun? c.a.l.

CHLOE MY DEAR.Well, you know how rough it can be to be the only survivors of an entire race of people------. Sorry. Butchers interrupted my thought process; don't worry about the blood, it's theirs, not mine. Anyway, they'll learn to read eventually, I'm sure you're an excellent teacher. Maybe something like a shepherd? I've heard they're amazing at keeping people in line. Wish someone would keep me in line. I need someone to step on my toes every once and a while. You think you're up for a job? Alpha

alpha,Yeah, I know. We're the only ones left - I should be grateful that there's a handful of us, right? How many were there this time? I think they're congregating in bigger groups, which makes them harder to take down. Oh, no, I am no teacher. Shepherd? Like, sheep? No, that's not me either. I need people who aren't actually imbeciles to be able to keep them in line. I guess I'm okay at keeping people in line. Doesn't mean I want to become a teacher though. If it wasn't safer in a group, I'd be off on my own.
I could step on your toes every now and then. As long as you're not asking me to dance, because then the chances are I would actually step on your toes. c.a.l.

MADAM.It's remarkable how closely 'Madman' resembles 'Madam.' Sorry, random musing now out of my system. Surely there are other survivors out there, isolated, just like the rest of us. Or you guys. I suppose living all by my 'onesie' (do not mention feet-y pijamas to me) isn't the best plan of action (another cliche, again), but it suits me. I don't think I'd be much of a guiding light were I to be surrounded by your pack of imbeciles. Yourself excluded, of course. Oh dear, it sounds as though I've called you an idiot, now. I shall have to mend that. And now I sound like an old man. Dear me! Agh.
Oh, the butchers. I've dealt with much worse. There were about five of them when they got to my locale, but only one made it up the stairs and into my room. Whoopsies, looks like they thought I didn't know anything about traps. How very silly indeed of them. Remind me to come down and get you inside should you ever decide to visit. Wouldn't want you ending up like they did, or in several places at once. I'm a bit volatile, it appears.
Now that you mention it, I do rather love a good dance. I wouldn't mind you bruising my poor toes, either. Think of it as a step to perfection, I suppose. You know, you can't learn without making mistakes and all that bullshit. Anyway, the rabbits can't do much more than hop about. I fear I'm going a bit insane from lack of human interaction. The butchers were a nice surprise for once. Alpha

alpha,Are we being formal now? I'm not sure I like being a 'madam'. It makes me feel old. Or a 'madman', for that matter. This whole end of the world thing might have made us all a little crazy, but it's not the same as being a loony. I live in hope that there are other survivors in other cities. I just don't know how likely it is that we'll ever find out; it's too dangerous to travel in open spaces, and everywhere else is a hell of a long way to walk through sewers. I'll get my shoes dirty. I hope there's a way, though; it would truly be dreadful if we were the only people left in their own minds in the whole of civilisation - or even the whole of America. Why won't you come to the Camp? I'm sure it's safer there, even with all your traps or whatever great tricks you have up your sleeves. We could probably use some of those tricks, actually. I'm not sure our perimeter is entirely secure. (If you are a butcher reading this: try it, why don't you? Just try it.)
Thank you for not calling me an idiot. Or attempting to not call me an idiot, or backtracking on calling me one in the first place. Whichever of those it happened to be. I can't shake the feeling that if we don't get some people who know what they're doing sooner or later, we're all going to wind up dead. I don't want that to happen. I will avoid trying to sneak up on you: duly noted.
Well, then, Mr...Alpha...I guess you'll just have to teach me to dance. I'm a quick learner, I assure you. It might be nice to do something that's not related to survival for a change. I'm going insane from all the human interaction here, so it'd be nice to spend some time with someone who's not still going on about the fact that they have several thousand bucks in a non-existent bank somewhere, or complaining because they miss Sunday roasts. Decent conversation here is...lacking. c.a.l.

MADAM.Listen. Butchers. In the Warehouse. I don't know how long I'm going to be gone. They all found me. At once. I won't be able to meet you nearby anymore. Would like some back up. Don't come alone.
Please don't come alone.
And look. If I die, it's not such a bad thing. People will be happy if I die. I've done too much bad stuff. I'm sorry, dancing is off. Alpha
