"You're the real deal...Would you ever be interested in making something for me, something very large?"
"I pulled out all the stops...I've offered you everything...I'm not gonna take no for an answer...nobody ever says no to me."
"You know this is a scenario I never tried. rigor mortis. The new Viagra."
Flashes of various encounters with one Nolan Kinnard flashed through her mind as the young woman slept. Even though she had killed the man herself, she still had nightmares about him on occasion. She feared him returning and filling her with drugs again so that she couldn't fight back against him, couldn't call for help. She saw Nolan rise from where he had been laying, shirt bloodied and a knife in his hand. He came towards her like a hunter stalking its prey and she screamed, but no one heard her...
Priya's eyes flew open and she was once again brought back to what little was left of reality. She was breathing hard, trying to calm herself down from the vivid nightmare she had just had. Priya was once again in the pods, safely in Anthony's arms, the same place where they had fallen asleep hours earlier. She looked over at him, and was glad that she hadn't woken him up. He had been exhausted after returning from a supply run above ground and needed all the rest he could get.
She smirked a little at him and kissed him lightly so that she wouldn't wake him. Priya carefully removed herself from his arms and exited the pod. She needed some air, needed to breathe to clear her head from images of Nolan.
"...nobody ever says no to me."
She shook her head, trying to get rid of the images as she wandered into the main room. No one was awake yet, and she was glad for that fact. It was a little eerie how quiet everything was, but it was also sort of peaceful as well. She sat down on one of the couches and pulled her knees to her chest, closing her eyes and breathing in and out. "It's all in my mind. It's all in my mind...." she muttered to herself, trying to rid herself of the images of the man who put her here in the first place. Some memories were just really hard to live with...
