Which is the best?

While this is an Angel based site, the Buffyverse isn't the only world that the genius that is Joss Whedon has created. So, my question is, which is the best of his shows, or is it too hard to choose?

Personally, I've not seen Dollhouse (because it's broadcast on some obscure channel I don't get here in the UK), Dr Horrible was great but not in the same league as everything else, but other than that, there's no way I can choose between BtVS, AtS and Firefly. Firefly was the first Whedon creation I watched and I fell in love with it - great characters, universe, idea, language...literally nothing I can fault, plus the added bonus of a feature film - but gorram it if BtVS/AtS haven't become one of the best shows I've ever seen in the last few months since I bought the box sets and started watching obsessively from beginning to end. I think that I now prefer the Buffyverse to the 'Verse, but I would want to bring both of them to a desert island with me. And as for choosing between Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, wow, no can do. Each time I think that Angel is better, Buffy does something amazing to make me fall in love with it all over again, and vice versa. And my all-time favourite characters (Angel, Spike, Willow, Wesley, and even Fred sorta appears in the guise of a phone call) all appear in both. So, I'm a 'how the hell am I supposed to pick?' voter. xD

I voted Buffy.

My favorite head character is Angel, by far.

I can't stand Buffy, though I love Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Faith was always the better slayer, Just she is the bad version of Buffy, like how Spike is the bad version of Angel. So naturally Buffy will prevail over Faith.

My reason for voting Buffy over Angel though.

1) Buffy came first.
2) It is the foundation for the entire Angel & Buffy Universe.
3) It created all the characters we love and Angel did start there, as did Spike and Wesley, as well as Harmony and Cordelia.

Though I think in time Angel became better, simply because it was more serious than Buffy and the actors/actresses on Angel were much better than that of Buffy's..

I think Michelle/Dawn, Sarah/Buffy are awesome, but neither can really act. Amy/Fred however can act, she is much better than those too.

Buffy honestly is way to much of a cry baby, she always cries if she doesn't get her way.

Aside from the already stated reasons, Buffy remains my favorite because, It had, Seth/Oz and Marcus/Riley.

Also two of my three favorite characters starred throughout the entire show, Alyson & Nicholas as Willow & Xander.

Angel of course is my favorite out of everyone. I think he is by far the best character, though I think the best actor out of them all is, Alexis, which is Wesley.

My favorite actor in the world though is, Christian Kane, we all know him as Lindsey though. ;D


So yeah, after all that blabbing, Buffy is better at first and later Angel becomes the better of the two.

Buffy got me hooked. Angel fed the fuel. I saw the opening of Firefly and need to get my hands on it. And Dollhouse is absolutely lovely.

Man it's a tough choice. I love buffy and it is what got me started, but Dollhouse is so unique and different then anything I've ever seen before. Angel would be up there, but the first four season plots all tied together or whatever really annoyed me a lot. But season 5 = Love cuz my baby Spike's in there! Haha. I also really enjoyed the fifth season of buffy, prolly cuz im a sucker for sad things. That and I never was a real fan of Riley and he left in that season!

No, I fell in love with Firefly, and just had to go see Serenity i theaters (which i did!). I've been in love with Whedon's creations since.

Anyway, then Dollhouse came along and I was all like "FTWYUSSILOVEYOU" especially because it had Eliza Dushku (and as an added bonus Summer Glau!!!!). But, seriously, I can't choose. Ever.
