P'emquali, a realm where magick and adventure still reign supreme. A realm where mages and their guardians fight to keep Mygathyn, God of War and Death, from being released from his prison.

Did I lose you? Forgive me, for sometimes I forget that not everyone is aware of the turmoil plaguing our world. Please, let me explain.
You see, hundreds of years ago, Mygathyn, God of War and Death, was imprisoned. The key to his prison, deemed too dangerous to remain in one piece, was split into 100 small fragments. Fragments that, soon after, were cast out unto the world in 50 pairs, not as tangible objects, but as a gift known as the "Kiss of the Gods." The kiss is bestowed upon those of any race, from Elf to T'gri, and with the kiss comes great power. Each pair consists of a mage, blessed with either the gift of healing or elemental conjuring, and a guardian, who is noble at heart and mind but doesn’t always have a noble heritage.
These soulmates - do not frown upon or mock the term for it is truly what they are - and the powers that may not be taken lightly, are a grand design and a gift sometimes mistaken as a curse. Though the gods of old have not been thought present these past centuries, it is still unwise to tempt fate and deny their existence. Both, guardian and mage, carry a symbol on their person that is quite often disregarded as a simple birthmark, by the ‘unknowing- such as yourself’.
While the mage often struggles with regaining control of his or her power the guardian walks through life colorblind, experiencing the world in a monochrome haze. It is only when the two souls bond that the guardian is granted the gift of true sight as their very own essence is no longer hopeless and incomplete without their other half.
Oh, you have heard all of this before? Nothing more than a faerie tale, you say? Then perhaps you, oh wise one, have also heard the whisperings about lord Zeben? Dismissed it as rumors, or more faerie tale nonsense, have yeh? I tell you, it's true. The leader of the army of Orcs is indeed a death conjurer, and he is most certainly in league with Mygathyn!
As of lately, there have been reports of great champions who have fallen in battle with Zeben's forces that, not a fortnight later, have been seen fighting side by side with the Orcs. Now tell me this, why would such noble warriors who are believed to have died in glorious battles turn on their brothers?
There is evil magick in the air, an' don't you forget that, even if you don't believe that Zeben is a necromancer.
Still don't believe me? Well, you look like an able bodied person - go out there and see for yourself! I hear the army is recruiting soldiers of all shapes, sizes and races to help out. Keep your head down and your wits about you. Maybe you'll never believe what I've told you, but there's a good chance you'll take out a few Orcs, in any case.
