It's September 1977, the air is growing colder and the leaves are falling on the Hogwarts grounds as students begin arriving for the fall term. Everyone is nervous and excited, and won't feel any better until they get inside the castle and begin the Welcome feast. The feast comes off without a hitch, and everyone goes to their beds satisfied and ready to begin a new year of schooling.
It happens within the first hours of the morning. The whole castle is filled with wind, sheets blowing off of beds and pieces of parchment flying across rooms. Tapestries lay on the ground in the hallways, suits of armor have fallen off their stands and lie in pieces. Everything is awry. This is when it starts. No one notices, but during the commotion a fair few students disappear and do not return until the next morning. These select few, these sly men and women, these are the Death Eaters in Training.
No one, not even the staff, is certain what happened that night. They dismiss it as a prank gone wrong, or someone showing their back-to-school spirit.
But it wasn't. It was just the beginning. This year at Hogwarts is going to be different.
